More Than Just Jam on Toast (But Honestly… Does Anything Beat That?)

More Than Just Jam on Toast (But Honestly… Does Anything Beat That?)

There’s something unbeatable about good jam on warm toast 🍓
No fuss. No frills. Just a proper preserve doing exactly what it was made for.

But… what if that same jar could also star in a cake, steal the show in a tart, or make your slow weekend breakfasts feel properly indulgent?

Over the last 25 years, we’ve been exploring exactly that... collaborating with chefs and bakers to show that preserves can be so much more than just a breakfast spread.

We continue to share recipes inspired by times we’ve been lucky enough to work with Lemon Pip Bakery, Chef Lewis Brown, and Chef James Strawbridge. Along the way, we’ve discovered how preserves can move effortlessly from toast to traybake, tart tin, and frying pan and earn their place as a true cooking ingredient.

Easy Home Baking

Some days call for simple, comforting baking. The kind that feels familiar, easy, and genuinely enjoyable.

That’s where recipes like our Jam n’ Cream Biscuits come in. Straightforward, nostalgic, and dangerously easy to keep reaching for just one more. The same goes for a classic Cream Tea Scone, both perfect for rainy-day baking (kids welcome), with minimal fuss and maximum reward.

If you're in the mood for something a little more involved, our  Chocolate Orange Guinness Cake steps things up just enough. Still simple to make, but undeniably impressive, it's packed with flavour and gives marmalade the chance to take centre stage in a bake.

Then there are those slower morning. Stawberry French Toast proves that breakfast can absolutely be indulgent. soft brioche, fruit-forward sweetness, and just enough decadence to make a Sunday feel like a treat.

When you want to impress (but don't have all day)...

Preserves don’t just belong in sweet bakes. Used properly, they shine in savoury dishes too.

Our Red Onion & Goat’s Cheese Tart and our Sausage rolls are  perfect examples. Both rich, well-balanced, and ideal for lunches, light dinners, or pretending you planned Friday night’s menu weeks in advance.
